Middle Earth shapes as a solid player in the 2025 Caulfield Cup with the Ciaron Maher-trained gelding likely to head down the traditional Cups path. The five-year-old impressed immediately in Australia with his dominant win in the Australian Cup Prelude over 2000m at Flemington and will have had time to further acclimatise to Australian conditions since then. A proven performer at Group level in the UK—highlighted by a G3 win at Newbury (2414m) and a placing at Royal Ascot in the Hardwicke Stakes (2414m), he is likely mid-range at the weights.
