The distance has also jumped around since its inception.
After starting as a 1800m contest, the race went from 1500m, to 1700m before settling on the 2000m trip in 2009 which the race is ran at today.
Champion runners Tie The Knot and Peter Pan have delivered wins in this race, while Lough Neagh has won the event three times.
