Wangaratta Racing Tips for October 26 – Paradise looks Super at the each-way quote

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which also feature in our daily selections.

Super Paradise is worth thought in Race 6. The four-year-old carries a hefty weight but drops sharply in grade after finishing seventh at Albury over 1600m at his most recent outing, beaten five lengths. He returns to his home track and should appreciate the return to a rain-affected surface, having recorded three wins from seven starts on Soft or Heavy ground. The Andrew Dale-trained galloper comes into this fourth-up and is capable of sharp improvement at this stage of his preparation. Last campaign, he followed a disappointing 10th at Pakenham with a victory at Albury on Soft ground. The son of Street Boss gets the blinkers back on and can turn things around.

Lujaego can go close to claiming her second career win when she steps out in Race 8. The Sylvia Thompson-trained mare has had three runs this preparation and was good from the back of the field when finishing fourth, beaten just over a length, at Echuca last time. That performance came in the same grade, and she worked home strongly with the fastest sectionals from the 600m to the 200m before the lack of early tempo counted against her. She may be able to settle a little closer this time and was a winner at her only previous start at Wangaratta. The Wodonga-trained mare should be nearing peak fitness after three runs and draws perfectly in barrier three, with Cory Parish to ride.
