Queensland Oaks Form Guide

The three-year-old fillies races can be hard to assess but the Queensland Oaks has been about the best-bred runners over the last ten years.

Another good bet in recent years is to get on a Chris Waller elect.

Waller has enjoyed Queensland Oaks success with Youngstar, Egg Tart and Winx winning the Group 1 event.

Queensland Oaks History

The Queensland Oaks is a race that has over 60 years of history in the sunshine state.

Ran originally as a Christmas meeting, the race was moved to the winter carnival back in 1973 to coincide with Queensland's other features that run at the same time.

In 1980 the race gained Group 1 status which helped propel the event into what it is today.

Horses the calibre of Winx, Ethereal and Egg Tart have claimed wins in the Queensland Oaks before going on to bigger and better things.
