This Week's Racing & Feature Races


There’s plenty of feature race action happening around the globe as we take a look at what’s in store for us this week.….

AUSTRALIA


A busy day is planned for Flemington on Saturday 4 July with four Listed events on the card. Heading the agenda is the Winter Championship Series Final over 1600m, along with the Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final, Taj Rossi Series Final and finally the AR Creswick Stakes.

North of the border, Randwick’s feature event on the same day is the Listed Winter Stakes over 1400m.

Queensland’s feature race action moves to the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 4 July with the Group 3 Winx Guineas as the main event on the program. It is supported by the Caloundra Cup and Glasshouse Hcp which are both Listed events.

In Perth, feature race action can be seen at Belmont on Saturday 4 July with two Listed events on the card, namely the Belmont Oaks and the Aquanita Stakes.


JAPAN


Just one feature race for Japan this weekend where we head to Kokura for the Group 3 TV Nishinippon Corp. Sho Kitakyushu Kinen on Sunday 5 July.


IRELAND


Limerick runs on Thursday 2 July this week and has the Grade 3 Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle as its feature event.

Then on Saturday 4 July, the meeting at Naas is highlighted with two Listed events, namely the Coolmore Stud Blackbeard Tipperary Stakes and the Irish EBF Pat Smullen Stakes to be run and won.


USA


All roads lead to Saratoga this weekend with feature race action on both days. On Saturday 4 July, we have three Group 1 events to be decided. They are, the Belmont Oaks, Saratoga Derby and the Belmont Derby. In support of these races, we have the Group 2 Suburban and Group 3 Sanford to be run as well.

Then on Sunday 5 July, we head back to Saratoga where the meeting is highlighted with the Group 3 Kelso Stakes as the main event on the day.
