There’s plenty of feature race action happening around the globe as we take a look at what’s in store for us this week.….

All roads lead to headquarters in Melbourne this weekend with all the major action on display at Flemington on Saturday 3 October.

The Group 1 Turnbull Stakes is the first of the lead-up races for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups and heads the program.

The supporting card is also very strong which includes four Group 2 events, namely the Danehill Stakes, Edward Manifold Stakes, Rose Of Kingston Stakes and the Gilgai Stakes.

Rounding off the feature races will be The Bart Cummings (a Group 3 event) as well as the Maribyrnong Trial Stakes, Super Impose Stakes and the Paris Lane Stakes which are all Listed races.

North of the border, Sydney is not to be denied of feature race action either with a feast of black-type races on the card for Randwick this Saturday 3 October.

Two Group 1 events head the program which are the Flight Stakes and Epsom Handicap. The support card is also strong where the Group 2 Metropolitan Handicap and Group 2 Premiere Stakes will be run and won.

Two Group 3 events round off the card with the Breeders Plate and Gimcrack Stakes to be decided as well.

Feature race action happens on Sunday 4 October in Japan with Tokyo hosting the Group 2 Mainichi Okan.  On the same day, the Kyoto Club plays host to the Group 2 Kyoto Daishoten.

On Saturday 3 October, Gowran Park has feature racing on display with the Listed Gowran Park Hurdle heading the meeting. The Grade 2 PWC Danoli Steeplechase will also be decided, along with two Grade 3 events, namely the BOYLE Sports Novice Hurdle and the Like A Butterfly Novice Steeplechase.

Then on Sunday 4 October, The Curragh plays host to the Coolmore Sioux Nation Concorde Stakes and the Hailey Irish EBF Brigid's Pastures Stakes which are both Listed events.

All roads lead to Belmont Park on Thursday 1 October this week with a meeting full of feature racing on display.

The major event on show is the Group 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic with a full-on support card as well.

Also on the card are two Group 2 events, namely the Flower Bowl Stakes and the Gallant Bloom, along with the Winter Memories, Vosburgh and Belmont Turf Sprint which are all at Group 3 level.

Then on Friday 2 October, the Keenland meeting is the drawcard with two Group 1 events heading the list. The Alcibiades and Turf Mile will draw all the attention, along with the Phoenix and Jessamine which are both Group 2 events.

The action continues at Keenland on Saturday 3 October where two Group 1 events, namely the First Lady Stakes and Breeders' Futurity will be decided. 

Then on Sunday 4 October at the same track, the Group 1 Spinster, Group 2 Bourbon Stakes and Group 3 Indian Summer will be run and won.

Sunday 4 October also sees the Santa Anita meeting a place to see feature racing with two Group 3 events on the card, namely the Surfer Girl Stakes and Zuma Beach to be decided.
