There’s plenty of feature race action happening around the globe as we take a look at what’s in store for us this week.….
AUSTRALIA
Feature racing is on at Caulfield on Saturday 15 August with four events on the card. The Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes heads the list, along with the Vain Stakes and Quezette Stakes which are both at Group 3 level. Supporting these events is the Listed Regal Roller Stakes.
NEW ZEALAND
One feature event is scheduled this weekend and it happens on Saturday 15 August at Ruakaka where the Group 3 Breeders Stakes will be run and won.
JAPAN
Black-type racing is on this Saturday 15 August at Niigata where the Group 3 Niigata Jump Stakes s the highlight of the day.
Then on Sunday, the Group 3 Chukyo Kinen will be run at the Chukyo meeting while on the same day, the Sapporo meeting will run the Group 2 Sapporo Kinen.
IRELAND
Feature racing this week begins on Friday 14 August at Cork where the Group 3 Irish Stall Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes highlights the meeting. It will be supported with the running of the Irish Stallion Farms Firville Stakes and the NFP Irish EBF Platinum Stakes which are both Listed events.
Then on Sunday 16 August, The Curragh plays host to the Group 3 Newbridge Silverware Royal Whip Stakes with the Listed William Hill Irish EBF Juvenile Stakes on the same bill.
USA
Feature race action in the States begins on Saturday 15 August with the Woodbine meeting playing host to the Canadian Stakes and the King Edward which are both Group 2 events, along with the Group 3 Bold Venture.
Two main events highlight the 2-day carnival at Saratoga this weekend. On Saturday 15 August, the feature race is the Group 1 Christophe Clement Turf while on Sunday 16 August, the Group 3 Mahony will be run and won.
