She was a winner first-up in the Cockram Stakes and has been given 57kg, which although looks a big weight for a mare, she is by far the best horse in the race and deserves what she has been given, if not more based on form.

Last year's winner Behemoth returns to attempt to claim his fourth Caulfield 1400m Group One race, while Beau Rossa looks the new horse on the scene after running a close second to the former in the Memsie Stakes.

If I'm Thunderstruck makes the field, he is going to take some beating with his big turn of foot while Amish Boy may sneak under the guard with just 52kg on his back.

Although she has been given her fair share of weight under handicap conditions (57kg), I do feel that it is important to note that Behemoth won this race last year with 60kg and this mare is a much better horse than him with due respect.

She has comfortably beaten him at WFA level in the Futurity Stakes of the 2021 Autumn and has recorded four wins and a second placing from five second-up attempts, a phenomenal record for a mare who keeps showing up each season.

Probabeel was impressive winning the Cockram over 1200m first-up and now up to 1400m, she looks ideally placed to be recording another win, and importantly notching up Brett Prebble’s third Group One win of the new season.

Value Bet – Amish Boy

From all reports he has come back in tip top order, and he showed this when running second to Masked Crusader in The Heath in what was a high rating event.

Amish Boy is a horse that seems to be able to just stay in form and race at any level and at any sprint to middle distance trips as shown when running sixth in a Caulfield Guineas and third in a Newmarket Handicap.

He looks well in with 52kg and could be the surprise packet of the field, but just the one win from 17 starts poses clear questions as to whether he actually wants to find the line first.
