JJ Atkins 2022 Barriers & Final Field

Following an eye-catching third in the Champagne Classic on May 14, Political Debate (barrier nine) has been a leading JJ Atkins chance, while he backed that placing up with a narrow win in The Phoenix last Saturday.
The Coolmore-owned colt is one of four runners in the final field from the Chris Waller stable, with Amati (barrier eight), Basquiat (barrier one) and Robusto (barrier 16) also prepared by the master trainer, who recorded three winners on the Queensland Oaks meeting.
Sheeza Belter (barrier 10) is an ex-WA runner who finally got a firmer surface on May 28, where she won the Sires' Produce Stakes.
Now trained by Peter & Paul Snowden, this two-year-old took out the WA Magic Millions in February before moving east.
Sharp 'N' Smart (barrier five) was terrific n his Australian debut, with a narrow second to Political Debate last Saturday and the son of Redwood is a listed winner over 1600m.
Brosnan (barrier barrier seven) was freshened up following heavy track loss in Group 1 Sires' Produce Stakes at Randwick and broke through at Flemington on May 21.
The Maher & Eustace-trained Lethal Thoughts (barrier 18) arrives off a third to Brosnan in that Melbourne event, having won on debut the start prior.
