2024 Winx Stakes Odds - Will Fangirl make it successive wins in Group 1?

Fangirl took out the Winx Stakes last year and is favourite for a repeat success in the the first Group 1 of the 2024/2025 Australian Racing Season.
The WFA feature is run over 1400m at Randwick with Fangirl second to Anamoe when in 2022 before taking out the Group 1 first-up last year.
She also recorded another fresh win over the Randwick 1400m when bolting in with the Apollo Stakes back in February.
Injury forced her to the paddock after a runner-up finish second-up in the Verry Elleegant, but the Chris Waller-trained galloper is expected to resume early in the new season.
At $2.50 with Tradie Bet, Fangirl heads the market for the 2024 Winx Stakes.
Via Sistina ($3.80) will be aimed at a Cox Plate deeper into the spring, however, this 1400m feature is often a starting point for Chris Waller's middle-distance horses and she'll likely be in the market race day even if this trip appears too short.
Semana is a Ciaron Maher-trained mare has placed in three of her last four attempts (all at Group 1 level) since taking out the Group 3 Triscay Stakes in February and she won a trial since her runner-up finish in the Tatt's Tiara on June 29.
She shares an $8 quote with Tropical Squall, a daughter of Prized Icon who won two Group 1's last season and they were both at Randwick.
The last of those victories came over this track/trip via the Surround Stakes in March, which Tropical Squall contested first-up.
