Belmont racing takes place on Saturday, August 16 with an 8-race program set down for Belmont racetrack.

Race 3: No.3 Madhi Girl
Race 4: No.3 Immortal Bliss
Race 8: No.13 Kervette

Race 3: No.3 Madhi Girl

The Simon Miller-trained galloper is firing on all cylinders lately and looks a serious chance of making it three-straight in this event.

Last start, the Winning Rupert mare made it back-to-back successes when she beat home a BM66 field over 1000m at Pinjarra.

William Pike was aboard and after settling mid-field, ran home strongly from there to cross the line more than a length clear in the end.

On a seven-day back-up here, she draws ideally in gate two and with Pike at the helm again, maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.

Up in grade, but down in weight, the four-year-old can get the job done here and ring up the hat-trick in this contest.

Race 4: No.3 Immortal Bliss

The Team Williams-trained galloper is second-up here and looks well placed to ring up another victory in this event.

Last start, the I Am Immortal gelding had his first start for the Williams stable when resuming off a 12-week spell and was an instant success when beating home Class 3 field over 1000m at Northam.

William Pike was booked to ride and after settling him back in the field, saved him for the run home where he hit the line strongly and after taking over inside the final 150m, put a space on them, crossing the line more than two clear in the end.

This looks no harder and with Pike remaining aboard, the four-year-old draws nicely in gate four where he maps to settle near mid-field with cover.

Well weighted here and fitter for that first-up win, he looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.

Race 8: No.13 Kervette

Dion Luciani saddles-up Kervette here who has found her mojo lately and looks ideally placed here to ring up another win in this event.

Last start, the Kermadec mare came off a Class 3 win at Northam when she took on similar company on this track and beat them home as well.

From the outside gate (13), Chanel Cooper settled her back in the field before winding-up in the run home where she finished too strong in the end, crossing the line half a length clear of them.

Lining up against a BM66 field for the first time here, the five-year-old does no early work from gate two where she maps to settle near mid-field with cover.

Cooper sticks with her for assignment and after the claim, the mare carries no weight with just 52kgs on her back, 3kgs under the limit for this event.

It’s taken her a long time to find winning form again and with so much going for her in this contest, she looks a serious chance of bringing up the hat-trick.
