Steve covers racing from NSW, QLD, Hong Kong & New Zealand having gained his love of racing when his father, who was an SP Bookmaker at the time, asked him to pick a horse in the (1968) Melbourne Cup for a bit of fun.

His biggest thrill in the world of horse racing was being at Rosehill in March 1977 to see the mighty Luskin Star win the Golden Slipper by 7 lengths, closely followed by Kingston Town’s Sydney Cup win at Randwick in 1980.

Racing and Rugby League (among other sports) rule his social life in a way that can’t be matched. Steve regularly digs out stories and provides the best information and winners.
