Northam racing takes place on Wednesday, September 23 with an 8-race program set down for the Northam racetrack.

The Kieran Regan-trained galloper has been in great touch of late and looks well placed here to challenge for the major prize in this event.

Last start, the Sessions mare finished fourth in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1100m

With Ebony Johnson aboard, she settled mid-field of the six runners to the turn, then in the run home, held her ground to finish just behind the placegetters.

Meeting similar company here, she maps to settle in the back half of the field from gate five with Jason Lyon as the new pilot for this assignment.

Already a track and distance winner here, the five-year-old looks every chance of fighting out the finish in this contest.

Race 7: No.8 My Jimmy

The Tom Wolfe-trained galloper is high-flying after three starts back and looks every chance of going back-to-back in this event.

Last start, the Jimmy Choux gelding hit top form when third-up as he clobbered his rivals in a Class 5 Hcp over 1400m at Bunbury.

Joey Azzopardi settled him worse than mid-field and three-wide to the turn before tracking wide and finishing down the centre of the track, gobbled them all up and went on to score by almost two lengths on the line.

Meeting similar company here, he draws gate five and maps to settle back in the field with cover and has Joey Azzopardi remaining aboard for this assignment.

Carrying just 1.5kgs more today, he still looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 8: No.7 Jemconi

Simon Miller saddles-up Jemconi here who is back on track after two starts this preparation and looks well placed to make it two-straight in this event.

Last start, the Nicconi mare improved well enough off her first-up effort to score her first win by taking out a set weights Maiden over 1200m at Belmont.

Jefferson Tsang had her settled mid-field early and three-wide to the turn, then scouting even wider, came off heels and down the centre of the track, finished too strong for them, arriving just in time to claim the victory right on the line.

Stepping-up to Class 1 company today, the 1400m trip looks ideal for her here as she jumps from gate three and maps to settle mid-field with Jefferson Tsang in the saddle again.

Third-up and even fitter after those two runs back, the four-year-old could prove hard to hold out in this contest.
