Race 1: No.3 Snitzel Dancer

The Rosehill-based galloper is in great touch after two starts and looks well placed here to figure in the finish of this event.

Last start, the well-bred Snitzel filly came off a debut Maiden win when she stepped-up sharply in grade and was impressive when beating all but one home in a BM72 contest over 1300m on her home track.

Jay Ford retained the ride that day and after settling mid-field, scouted wide on the turn and finished off strongly, beaten less than a length on the line.

Ford has the reins for this assignment and from gate six, maps to settle mid-field again with cover.

The three-year-old is off to a flying start in her racing career and even fitter for two runs, looks a serious contender for this big prize in this contest.

Race 2: No.2 Soul Of Spain

The Chris Waller-trained galloper is in sensational form this preparation and avoiding any dramas in this race, looks set to ring-up career win number six in this event.

Last start, the Irish-sired gelding was unbeaten in three starts this campaign when he stepped-up to Group 1 competition for the first time and did well to beat all but one home in the Metropolitan Hcp, here over 2400m.

He settled back in the field before Zac Lloyd pushed forward and joined the leaders on the turn.

Taking over on straightening, he ran home strongly and was only denied victory by one, beaten less than a length on the line.

Dropping back to Group 3 company here, Melbourne jockey Damian Lane is locked in for the ride where the five-year-old leaves the machine from barrier eight and maps to settle near mid-field.

With a previous victory over 3300m in Ireland, the 2600m trip for the St.Leger Stakes will seem a walk in the park for him and at his peak here, he should prove hard to beat.

Race 6: No.12 Disneck

Bjorn Baker saddles-up Disneck here who ticks enough boxes to suggest he can give this event a real fright, at odds.

Last start, the Trapeze Artist gelding was fourth-up and found his mojo when he claimed victory, here in a strong BM94 over 1200m with Nash Rawiller at the helm.

After settling back in the field, the Randwick track specialist scouted wide on the turn and while still seven lengths off the lead, finished like a train to grab the gold medal with plenty to spare.

He is yet to show-up in black-type events but in winning form now and with Dylan Gibbons returning for the ride, he has the runs on the board to be a force here and looks well worth an each-way ticket in the Group 3 contest.
