The Gawler-based galloper resumes off a 29-week absence and even on fresh legs, looks a strong winning chance in this event.

Last start, the So You Think gelding ended his first preparation by finishing fourth in a BM72, here over 1050m with Jason Holder in the saddle.

Shooting for the hat-trick that day, the race didn’t pan-out as he would have liked it to but he did finish off strongly, just missing a podium finish in the end.

Ideally drawn in gate two here, (Stubby) Holder sticks with him for this assignment where he maps to be box-seating on settling and coming off a recent trial win, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 9: No.5 Schroder’s Mistake

The Will Clarken-trained galloper is second-up here and boasting strong form on this track, is capable of claiming the gold medal in this event.

Last start, the Cable Bay gelding resumed after 10 months in the paddock and in need of the run, finished unplaced in a BM68, here over 1050m with Todd Pannell aboard.

After drawing wide in gate 11 (of 13), he settled last in the field and failed to run on, pulling up lame after the race.

Fitter for this assignment, he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling with Rochelle Milnes returning for the ride.

A track specialist here, she has two victories from three starts at Morphettville and with the dream draw, looks a worthwhile each-way investment in this contest.

Race 10: No.10 Grinzinger Halo

Shooting for the hat-trick here, the Will Clarken-trained galloper ticks enough boxes to suggest she can get the jib done in this event.

Last start, the Written Tycoon mare came off her Maiden win at Balaklava when she stepped-up sharply in grade and beat home a Class 2 field, here over 1600m.

With Ben Price aboard, she drew the outside gate (11) and despite burning early fuel to cross and settle on the speed, the mare fought off all challenges in the run home to claim first prize over the line.

At her peak for this assignment, she tackles the mile trip again and has Rochelle Milnes as the new pilot and from a better draw (in gate 6), she maps to settle just behind the speed with cover.

In career-best form and on her home track, she looks the one to beat in this contest.
