Locally-trained by Neville Parnham, Overdrive is second-up today and looks set to give this event a real shake.

Last start, the Playing God filly resumed after more than six months off the scene and gave a real bold sight when she beat all but one home in a No Metro Win event, here over 1200m.

Chris Parnham settled her fourth, one off the fence, and after fanning wide on the turn, chased the leader all the way home, beaten less than a length on the line.

She draws the same gate (6) today and with Parnham remaining on board, maps to cross and settle better than mid-field.

Fitter for one run back, the three-year-old can go one better today.

Race 3: No.2 Sanctions

David Harrison saddles-up Sanctions here who is in great form this time in and looks a touch overs in this event.

Last start, the Russian Revolution mare came off a good win at Bunbury when she beat all but one home in a BM46+, here over 1200m.

Lumping 60kgs that day, she was box-seating on settling and after crossing off the leader’s heels on straightening, chased hard all the way home, beaten less than a length on the line.

From gate six today, she maps to settle just behind the speed with Chanel Cooper as the new pilot and after her claim, the mare carries 3kgs less in this contest.

Placed at this track last start, this looks no harder and with a trouble-free run, she can figure in the finish and looks well worth an each-way ticket today.

Race 7: No.3 Soso Lucky

The Team Pearce-trained Soso Lucky is third-up today and looks well placed to produce her best in this event.

Last start, the Lean Mean Machine mare showed plenty of improvement when second-up beating all but one to the line in a No Metro Win event, here over 1200m.

With regular rider Chris Parnham in the saddle, she settled mid-field and on straightening, ran home strongly to just miss collecting the big prize, beaten a head on the line.

She draws wide in gate nine today but maps to settle back in the field this time with Parnham in pride of place.

Meeting similar company here and fitter for two runs back, a trouble-free run should see her hard to hold out in this contest.
