Port Lincoln racing takes place on Wednesday, February 26, with an 8-race program set down for Port Lincoln racetrack.

Race 4: No.5 She Sparkles
Race 5: No.6 Sir Toop
Race 6: No.3 Tundra

Race 4: No.5 She Sparkles

The Port Augusta-based galloper has finished close-up in all three starts this preparation and should now be ready to produce her best in this event.

Last start, the well-bred Akeed Mofeed mare finished just behind the placegetters again in a BM64 over 1300m at Ceduna.

She drops in grade here and gets the gun-run from gate one where she maps to settle better than mid-field with cover with Callan Murray aboard for the first time.

The four-year-old has had two starts here previously where she drew the outside gate each time and today gets the opportunity to turn that around with the dream draw on the fence.

Fitter for three runs back and at her peak today, she looks a winning chance at odds.

Race 5: No.6 Sir Toop

Oakbank galloper Sir Toop is third-up today who will strip fitter and looks in line to give this event a real shake today.

Last start, the Sir Prancealot gelding showed a ton of improvement when he finished fourth in a BM54, here over 1350m with Teagan Voorham in the saddle.

Settling back in the field, he made up good ground in the run home to finish just behind the placegetters, beaten just over two lengths on the line.

He draws gate six today and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Teagan Voorham steering the ship again.

Fitter for two runs back and already a winner at the track, the five-year-old can figure in this contest.

Race 6: No.3 Tundra

The Brett Campbell-trained Tundra is four starts into this campaign and looks ready to produce his best in this event.

Last start, the American-bred galloper collected his second top-three prize this preparation when he claimed third prize in a BM58 over 1400m.

With Wes Cave aboard, he carried 59kgs and finished just two lengths from the winner that day.

Dropping in grade today, he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling with new pilot Alan Lai aboard and after the claim, carries less weight for this Restricted 54 contest.

At his peak after four runs back, the good draw gives him every opportunity to ring up career win number four today and looks well worth an each-way ticket here.
