Doomben's eight-race program is set for February 26

Doomben racing takes place on Wednesday, February 26 with an eight-race program set for the QLD metro meeting.

Race 2: No. 1 Victory Flame
Race 5: No. 9 Impendor
Race 6: No. 4 Demon Darb
Race 7: No. 1 Free Carry

Was dominant when winning his maiden at start three at Gatton two back over 1600m, leading all the way to score by three lengths.

Found one better at the Sunshine Coast last time out but will appreciate the step back in distance for this event.

Race 5: No. 9 Impendor

Four-year-old gelding who has finished in the top two in six of his 11 career race starts and was beaten just over two lengths at Royal Randwick last start over 1200m.

Has proven he can handle all track conditions and will be nearing peak fitness at this stage of his campaign.

Race 6: No. 4 Demon Darb

Rob Heathcote saddles up this son of Pierro searching for his fourth career win at start number 18.

He started this campaign with a nice effort here at Doomben where he was held up in the straight but still made up plenty of ground late to be full of running.

Will strip fitter and be tough to beat.

Race 7: No. 1 Free Carry

Won back to back races during his last campaign, one of which was in this grade here at Doomben.

Earned a trip to town with an impressive win first up at Ipswich by 1.6 lengths and they beat home the third horse by a further two lengths.

Drawn a bit sticky but the apprentice will use the claim for some weight relief.
