The John Size-trained galloper is in top-shelf form and looks ideally placed here for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the Headwater gelding made light work of a Class 4 contest when he tool out the 1000m event on this track with Brenton Avdulla in the saddle.

Doing his best work late, he crossed the line 1.5 lengths clear while carrying 61kgs in the race.

Size puts him up to Class 3 opposition today where he draws nicely in gate three and maps to settle right behind the speed.

Avdulla steers the ship again and carrying 5kgs less than that last start win, he looks a serious contender for the major prize in this contest.

Race 7: No.2 Flow Water Flow

Another from the John Sizer stable is the luckless Flow Water Flow who after three-straight runner-up prizes, looks set for a chance of luck in this event.

Last start, the Proisir gelding lined-up as a major winning prospect but was denied again as he beat all but one home in a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1400m with Hugh Bowman aboard.

From gate nine today, he maps to cross and settle near mid-field with Dylan Browne-McMonagle aboard as the new pilot.

With three runs under his belt now, he should be at his peak today and with a trouble-free run, he can finally break through for that illusive first win in this contest.

Race 9: No.8 Emblazon

Cody Mo saddles-up Emblazon here who is second-up and looks set to go on with the good work in this event.

Last start, the Zoustar gelding came resumed after eight weeks off the scene and did it in style when he took out a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1200m.

With regular rider Jerry Chau aboard, he settled back in the field before tracking wide on the turn and in the run home, finished too well, beating home the 12-strong field by a length on the line.

The four-year-old makes the transition to Class 3 grade today and drops 5.5kgs for the assignment with Chau in pride of place.

Nicely drawn in gate five, he maps to settle in the back half of the field today and with the lighter weight and a clear run to the line, looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 11: No.9 Stormy Grove

The Frankie Lor-trained galloper has been thereabouts in his four starts this campaign and at his peak here, looks ready to record his first win on the Sha Tin track today.

Last start, the Toronado gelding was fourth-up and showed good improvement when he beat all but one home in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1400m with Harry Bentley aboard.

Slowly away, he settled back in the field (on the fence) before Bentley eased him out and once clear, hit the line strongly and was beaten a whisker on the line, taking home the silver medal that day.

From barrier eight, he can settle anywhere today, depending on how he jumps, but with the step-up to the mile trip today, he will ample opportunity to be doing his best when it matters most.
