Morphettville racing takes place on Saturday, May 30 with a 9-race program set down for the Morphettville racetrack.

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for  Morphettville racetrack.

Race 4: No.10  Peta’s Heart

The Will Clarken-trained galloper has found her mojo this campaign and looks weighted and gated to give this event a real shake.

Last start, the well-bred Pierro mare showed enough improvement to ring-up her first win for this preparation when she took out a BM0-68 Hcp, here over 1800m with Harry Grace in the saddle.

Drawn wide, she settled st the back of the field before working into the race nearing the turn, then came down the centre of the track and finished best to grab victory near the line.

Taking on BM72 company here, she draws well in gate four and maps to settle back in the field with Grace retaining the ride.

Four starts back and at her peak for this, the five-year-old is already a track and trip winner and looks a major player in this contest.

Race 6: No.4  Taken To Task

The Michael Hickmott-trained galloper is unbeaten after two starts and looks a solid each-way chance in this event.

Last start, the Brutal gelding came off his maiden win and franked the effort when he took out a Class 1 Hcp over 1100m at Strathalbyn with Todd Pannell aboard on both occasions.

Lumping 60kgs, he settled second before gaining the upper hand in the run home, crossing the line half a length clear in the end.

From barrier eight, he maps to settle on or near the speed and boasting a 22% success rate with the stable, Todd Pannell steers the three-year-old again for this assignment.

Stepping-up to Class 2 company here, it is his toughest test to date but dropping 2kgs and in winning form, a ticket on both totes looks the ideal way to go in this contest.

Race 9: No.9  Swycho

Michael Hickmott saddles-up Swycho here who is three starts into this preparation and now should be ready to produce her best in this event.

Last start, the Echoes of Heaven mare was third-up and put in her best effort when she beat all but one home in a BM64 over 1550m, here on the Parks circuit.

Todd Pannell settled her mid-field early before making a move nearing the turn, then entered into a two-horse battle in the run home, beaten a head on the line.

Meeting similar company here, she jumps from barrier eight and maps to settle better than mid-field with Pannell at the helm again.

At her peak for this assignment, the five-year-old looks set to give this contest a real shake.
