The Team Jolly-trained galloper is second-up here and after a first-up success, looks well placed here for back-to-back wins in this event.

Last start, the Awesome Rock gelding resumed after 11 weeks off the scene and impressed when breaking through for his first career win in a Maiden Plate over 1350m at Strathalbyn.

Settling just behind the speed, he box-seated to the turn before crossing off heels and after spotting the leader three lengths on straightening, he ran home strongly and arrived in time to claim the winner’s cheque for the race.

Drawn gate five today, he maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Jackson Murphy as the new pilot for this assignment.

The stable fit the blinkers for the first time here and with that first-up win under his belt, he looks a major player in this contest.

Race 6: No.7 Harsh

Team Jolly saddle-up Harsh here who has run herself into form and now looks ready to win.

Last start, the Brutal mare came off a runner-up finish in Class 1 company when she finished a close-up third in a BM60 over 2050m at Strathalbyn.

Jake Toeroek settled her near mid-field on the fence to the 600m mark where she lost her way and was shuffled back to last before railing through on straightening, then came off heels and stormed home to grab the minor prize, taking ground off the two who finished ahead of her on the line.

Jumping from gate seven today, she maps to settle just off the pace with Harry Grace as the new pilot.

Four starts back and at her peak today, she should take a ton of beating in this contest.

Race 7: No.5 You’resogolden

The Michael Hickmott-trained galloper is fresh off a nine-week break here and down in grade today, looks set claim a second career win on fresh legs in this event.

Last start, the Tagaloa filly ended her last campaign before stepping-up sharply in grade and finishing mid-field in the Class 2 Hcp over 1300m at Morphettville on the Parks circuit.

With Caitlin Tootell in the saddle, she led on settling and overraced in the early stages, then in the run home, fought on doggedly but then weakened over the final 100m to finish mid-field in the race.

The stronger competition and the 1300m got the better of her that day.

Drawn out in gate 10 today, she maps to push forward and settle near the lead with Todd Pannell returning for his second ride on the filly.

The 1050m looks more suitable for her today and dropping back to BM56 company, she looks in the mix for a first-up win in this contest.
