Race 1: No.5 Flightcrew
The Team Curtis-trained galloper has done everything but win this preparation and with a favourable run here, she can turn it all around in this event.
Last start, the Epaulette mare collected her third runner-up prize this time in when she beat all but one home in a BM72 over 1100m at Warwick Farm.
From the outside gate (10), Zac Lloyd pushed forward and crossed to has her leading on settling and in the run home, fought on like a caged tiger but was run down by one better on the day, beaten a neck on the line.
Drawn much better here in gate four, she maps to settle in the first half dozen with Lloyd in the saddle again.
Meeting similar company here, she drops 2kgs for this assignment and looks set to end the run of outs and pick up first prize in this contest.
Race 6: No.1 Manaal
Michael Freedman saddles-up Manaal here who is second-up and ticks all the boxes that suggest a win is on the cards in this event.
Last start, the Tassort mare resumed off a 16-week spell and impressed when she beat all but one home in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes, here over 1200m.
Jason Collett had her box-seating on settling before railing like a greyhound and finishing off strongly until her condition gave out, beaten just over a length on the line.
From gate nine, she maps to cross and settle better than mid-field with Collett retaining the ride for this assignment.
Already a four-time winner at Group 2 level and has won three of her four second-up appearances to date, the four-year-old will take a ton of beating in this contest.
Race 10: No.6 Roselyn’s Star
The O’Shea & Charlton-trained galloper is in great touch after two starts back and looks right in the mix for a shot at victory in this event.
Last start, the Shalaa gelding made it back-to-back runner-up prizes when he beat all but one home in a BM88 over 1200m at Rosehill.
Sent out a white-hot favourite ($1.85), James McDonald gave him the run of the race, settling one out, one back, before crossing heels where he set sail after the leader and grabbed the front running, only to be mown down by Sixties, carrying 5.5kgs less in weight on the day.
Drawn out in gate ten here, he maps to push forward and settle better than mid-field with Siena Grima as the new pilot and after her claim, the gelding will carry 2.5kgs less than last start.
Finishing runner-up in both third-up appearances to date, he will strip fitter for this assignment and with a trouble-free run, can get the job done here.
