The Mick Huxtable-trained galloper has found his mojo this time in and down in weight here, looks a genuine chance of going back-to-back in this event.
Last start, the Needs Further gelding scored his first win in ten months when he clobbered his rivals in a Rating 0-66 over 1800m, here on the main course.
Rochelle Milnes settled him worse than mid-field before peeling wide on the turn where he swallowed them up quickly and went on to score by almost four lengths on the line.
Facing BM72 opposition here, he drops 2kgs for the assignment and has Milnes in the saddle again.
From gate seven, he maps to settle mid-field or better and now back in winning form, the five-year-old looks the one to beat in this contest.
Race 6: No.2 Scandalize
Chris Bieg saddles-up Scandalize here who is high-flying after two starts back and is ideally placed to take out this event.
Last start, the son of Shocking came off an impressive first-up win when he finished a close-up third in a BM66, on this track over 1250m.
With Jason Holder aboard, he settled back early before threading his way clear in the run home where he finished strongly, arriving in time to grab the minor prize in the race.
Even fitter for those two runs back, he gets the gun-run from gate one here and has Holder steering the ship again.
Already a winner at the 1400m trip, he will take beating in this contest.
Race 8: No.9 Nextonixs
The Jolly & Potter trained galloper is second-up here and ticks all the boxes that suggest she is the testing material in this event.
Last start, the Tassort mare resumed off a 21-week spell and wasn’t disgraced when finishing third in a BM72, here over 1000m.
Jumping from gate one, Rochelle Milnes had her box-seating on settling before joining the battle in the run home where she fought on bravely but was out-gunned near the line, hanging on for the minor prize in the end.
The mare comes-up trumps here as she draws gate one again and maps to sit just behind the speed with Milnes shooting for her third victory on the four-year-old.
Already a winner when second-up and a two-time winner at the track and trip, she looks the best of the day in this contest.
