Pinjarra racing takes place on Saturday, February 15, with a 9-race program set down for Pinjarra racetrack.

Race 2: No.4 Pin Deep
Race 3: No.10 Supernatural

Race 2: No.4 Pin Deep

The Adam Durrant-trained Pin Deep is second-up here and looks all set to roll on with his winning form in this event.

Last start, the Deep Field gelding resumed off a 15-week spell and made every post a winner as he beat home a Class 5 field over 1000m at Bunbury.

He sat last of the seven early but with the advantage of settling on the fence, saved plenty of ground and finding the gap, finished too strong in the end.

He gets the gun-run from gate one here and maps to settle near the speed with Clint Johnston-Porter back for his ninth ride on the four-year-old.

Already successful over the track and distance and a winner when second-up previously, he should prove hard to beat in this contest.

Race 3: No.10 Supernatural

Another from the Durrant stable, Supernatural is four starts into this preparation and already done enough to suggest she can claim victory in this event.

Last start, the Sessions filly came off a win at Ascot when she stepped-up to Listed company and found things a little too tough that day, finishing mid-field over 1200m at Bunbury.

The three-year-old wasn’t disgraced, giving her best to finish fifth, just two lengths behind the winner in the end.

Dropping sharply in grade here, she locks horns with BM66 company where she draws barrier eight and maps to cross and settle near mid-field with regular stable rider Clint Johnston-Porter in the saddle again.

Coming in on the limit here with 55kgs, a trouble-free run can see her there at the finish in this contest.

Race 5: No.4 Close At Hand

Team Williams saddle-up Close At Hand here who is three starts into his current campaign and looks well placed to give this a shake at odds.

Last start, the Impending gelding came off an impressive win in Class 3 company at Ascot when after becoming fractious at the gates, jumped poorly and settled back in the field and simply gave them too much start, finishing mid-field, beaten less than two lengths on the line.

Lucy Fiore takes over as the new pilot for this assignment and from gate five, the four-year-old maps to settle near mid-field with cover.

Fourth-up and at his peak today with all things going well for him at the gates here, a trouble-free run in this easier contest can see him figure in the finish and he is well worth an each-way ticket.
