Ascot racing takes place on Saturday, October 24 with a 10-race program set down for Ascot racetrack.

The Team Casey-trained galloper is in great touch this time in and ticks the right boxes here that suggest she will take beating in this event.

Last start, the Playing God mare came off a good win at Belmont when she beat all but one home in a 1400m Hcp on this track.

Chris Parnham had her leading from the outset, then in the run home, showed plenty of fight to ward off the challengers but was grabbed by a swooper right on the line, who had a 2kg weight advantage on the mare.

Dropping back to the 1200m here, she draws barrier eight and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover and Parnham in the saddle again.

A known track specialist, she is yet to miss the podium in four starts here and at her peak now, the four-year-old should prove hard to beat in this contest.

Race 6: No.4 Abissi

Michael Grantham saddles-up Abissi here who is in top-shelf form this preparation and looks well placed here to go on with it in this event.

Last start, the Ocean Park gelding ended a run of minor placings when he clobbered his rivals in a Rating 66+ Hcp. here over 2200m.

Ridden a treat by Chris Parnham, he settled back in the small field of six and travelled well to the turn, before tracking wide and in the run home, swamped the front-runners, then went on to score by almost three lengths on the line.

Meeting similar company here over the same trip, he draws barrier eight and maps to settle back in the field with Parnham retaining the ride.

Under similar racing conditions and on the same track, the six-year-old certainly looks the one to beat in this contest.

Race 7: No.9 Bassett Hound

The Mitchell Pateman-trained galloper is second-up here and after winning his past five-straight, he looks the cream of the crop in this event.

Last start, the well-bred Wootton Bassett gelding came off a 17-week spell and simply picked-up where he left off by taking out a Rating 72+ Hcp, here over 1000m.

With regular rider Patrick Carbery aboard, in his customary role, he settled back in the field to the turn before scouting wide then in the run home, overpowered the front-runners and went on to claim a half-length victory over the line.

From gate five here, he maps to drop back to the rear again with Carbery steering the ship once more and already a track and trip winner and a winner when second-up, the four-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.
