The Simon Miller-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks all the boxes that suggest he wil be hard to beat in this event.

Last start, the Sessions gelding resumed off a 22-week spell and impressed when he took out a One-Metro-Win Hcp, here over 1000m with William Pike aboard.

Settling just behind the speed (one off the fence), Pike went to work on him in the run home where the four-year-old found plenty and arrived in time to claim victory near the line.

Drawn well in gate five here, he maps to settle in the first half-dozen and boasting a 29% success rate with the stable, Pike steers the ship again.

The track specialist has claimed four wins from his five starts at the track and distance and fitter for that first-up effort, will take beating in this contest.

Race 8: No.9 Jaz Session

Justine Erkelens saddles-up Jaz Session here who is high-flying this time in and as another track specialist, looks set to salute in this event.

Last start, the Sessions mare came off her fourth win at the Ascot track when she missed by a whisker from making it five, finishing second in the Listed Summer Scorcher, here over the 1000m sprint.

With regular rider Shaun O'Donnell aboard, she settled back in the field, three wide from bad draw (gate 9 of 11), and despite threading her way through the gaps in the run home, failed by a neck to claim first prize.

Drawn better here in gate six, she maps to settle two or three pairs back, with cover and has O'Donnell at the helm again.

In Listed company again, a trouble-free run here should see the five-year-old hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 9: No.12 Return Of The Mach

The Adam Durrant-trained galloper is in top-shelf form after two starts back and looks ideally placed here to ring-up her first Ascot win in this event.

Last start, the Territories mare came off a big first-up win at Bunbury when she wasn’t disgraced, finishing third in a harder affair, here over 1200m.

With regular rider Lucy Fiore aboard, she settled well back from gate seven before tracking very wide on the turn where she finished strongly, arriving in time to claim the minor prize in the race.

The four-year-old gets the gun-run from gate one here where she maps to settle better than mid-field on the fence.

Now even fitter for those two runs under her belt and with Fiore in pride of place, she looks the testing material in this contest.
