Race 7: No.9 Boniface
The Victorian-based galloper is third-up here and seeing Randwick for the second time, looks set to go one better in this event.
Last start, the British-sired gelding was second-up after nearly 12 months off the scene when he beat all but one home in a BM88, here over 1800m.
Tyler Schiller settled him mid-field on the fence to the turn before securing a run between horses at the 400m mark, then staged a one-on-one battle with race favourite Tazima all the home, beaten a neck on the line.
The two clash here again with Boniface 2kgs better off at the weights for this assignment.
Drawn wide, he maps to settle in the back-half of the field with Schiller retaining the ride and fitter for those two runs, looks the one to beat in this contest.
Race 8: No.11 Concordia Wind
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is three starts into this campaign and in the wet conditions here, looks in the mix for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Justify mare was third-up when she proved too good for them in a BM72 over 1600m at Warwick Farm.
Siena Grima was aboard that day where she settled the mare mid-field to the turn before easing off the fence then tracking wide as they turned, she finish best to collect the cash.
From gate nine, she maps to settle near mid-field with Grima in the saddle again.
Stepping-up to BM78 company here, she drops 2kgs for the trip and already a two-time winner on wet tracks, looks well suited in the forecast wet conditions and at her peak here, looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 10: No.3 Aye Aye Captain
The Les Bridge-trained galloper is high-flying this time in and has the resume that suggests she can figure in the finish of this event.
Last start, the well-bred Merchant Navy mare made it three-straight podium finishes when she ran third in a BM78 Hcp over 1400m at Rosehill.
Drawn out in gate 11 that day, Kerrin McEvoy settled her last of the 12 runners to the turn, then sticking to the fence, she made up a ton of ground in the run home and while never a winning chance, arrived in time to grab the minor prize in the race.
Meeting similar company here over the same trip, she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle better than mid-field.
Fourth-up and at her peak here, a trouble-free run should see her there at the finish in this contest.
