The Caspar Fownes-trained galloper is in great touch of late and ticks the boxes here that suggest back-to-back wins are on the cards in this event.

Last start, the Hellbent gelding recorded win number two when he took out a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1650m with Joao Moreira in the saddle.

Sent out a white-hot ($1.70) favourite, he settled fourth on the fence to the 600m mark before easing out to find clean air, then in the run home, he eventually reached the lead and went on to score by half a length on the line.

Ideally drawn here in gate three, he maps to be box-seating on settling with Moreira in charge again.

Unbeaten in two starts at Happy Valley, a trouble-free run here should see him very hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 6: No.3 Elegant Life

The Smart Missile gelding is in a purple patch of form and is ideally placed here to go on with it in this event.

Last start, the five-year-old bounced back from a disappointing effort, here over 1000m, when he stepped-up to the 1200m and clobbered his rivals in the Class 4 Hcp with Joao Moreira aboard.

Settling mid-field early, he found his way into the box-seat, tracking the leader to the turn, then sticking to the fence, secured the run and finished too strong in the end, putting more than two lengths on them over the line.

Drawn the same gate (3) tonight, he maps to settle right behind the early speed with Moreira steering the ship again.

He is up in weight tonight but has carried 61kgs to victory (four starts back) and with the good draw, he should still prove hard to beat in this contest.

Race 8: No.8 Tycoon Resources

Tony Cruz saddles-up the unbeaten Tycoon Resources here who looks all set to bring-up the hat-trick in this event.

Last start, the Written Tycoon gelding came off an impressive debut win and meeting similar company, franked that effort by taking out another Class 4 event, here over the 1000m sprint.

Carrying 60kgs that night, punters sent him out a raging $1.60 favourite where he was eased back soon after the start and settled near the tail of the field before tracking wide on the turn and while spotting the leaders six lengths on straightening, showed an amazing turn-of-foot and stormed home to grab the major prize on the line.

Up in grade tonight, he draws well in gate four and maps to do no early work as he settles back in the field with Angus Chung retaining the ride.

Facing Class 3 company here, he drops 5.5kgs (after the claim) and the step-up to the 1200m looks ideal for him now.

Two from two at the track, he looks a very promising type and is capable of winning again tonight.
