Seymour Racing Tips for June 11 – Each-way all day for Strong Box in Race 7

Seymour racing takes place on Thursday, June 11, with an eight-race program set down for Seymour.

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which also feature in our daily selections.

Race 5 No.3- Zentorno


Zentorno shapes as a major player in Race 5 of the day at Seymour. The Patrick Payne-trained galloper comes into this second up and produced a bit of an eye-catcher at Bendigo when resuming on May 29 over the 1400m, coming from well back to place 5th behind Heiwana Tamashi, beaten two lengths. He was posted last on a crawling tempo before producing the fastest last 200m. The son of Vadamos looks to have returned in good order and will like the step up in trip, while he does have scope to settle a little closer from the inside barrier. 

Race 6 No.4- Centu Cavaddi


Keen on Centu Cavaddi in Race 6. The promising three-year-old is another that comes out of a Bendigo meeting and did a couple of things wrong in the straight when resuming with a 6th behind Clevor Trever. Form out of that has been solid with the winner going on to claim a Saturday race at Caulfield, while the runner-up has also scored since then. Centu Cavaddi gets the blinkers on for the first time and spiked big time on benchmark figures when second up at his last preparation to place at Sandown. He gets a nice run in transit from barrier 2 and we can expect to see him fighting out the finish. 

Race 7 No.7- Strong Box


Strong Box is worth thought at the each-way quote in Race 7. The Dom Sutton youngster scored in Maiden grade at Seymour two starts ago over the 1000m before tackling a BenchMark 64 on the Caulfield Heath last time, placing 6th behind I’m Foxing. He was back on a slow tempo but worked home well to finish less than two lengths from the winner. The son of Farnan looks like he wants the step up to the 1200m and the pace ahead of him in this race should suit.
