Race 2 No.8- Queen Christine
Queen Christine can break through when she steps out in Race 2. The Symon Wilde-trained galloper has placed in three of her four career starts and resumed with a runner-up during the Warrnambook carnival. She settled midfield and was just outkicked late by Singles Moment. Form out of that has been excellent with three of the beaten brigade coming out and winning their next race. Second up at her last preparation, the daughter of Earthlight was an improver when going from a 9th on debut to a 3rd. She draws to enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 5 and can wear them down late in the piece.
Race 7 No.5- Belgian Chocolate
Belgian Chocolate can bounce back after a last start 5th on the Heavy 10 at Warrnambool. She was well beaten in that race but drops sharply in grade from a BenchMark 70 back to 56. At her start prior, the Matthew Williams-trained galloper overcame a wide trip without cover at Terang to score by more than three lengths, while she was unlucky not to win prior to that at the Bool. She just needs to settle better after racing a bit keenly last time and from barrier 3 against this field, she is a clear top pick.
