The locally-trained galloper is second-up today and ticks all the boxes that suggest he is a winning chance in this event.
Last start, the Star Turn gelding resumed after nine months off the scene and in need of the run, finished last in a BM74 over 1400m at Scone.
With regular rider Shayleigh Ingelse aboard, he drew the outside gate (9), settling last in the field and ran home just moderately without passing a runner in transit.
His resume shows he strips much better second-up and taking on BM82 company here, he drops 4kgs for the event with Ingelse steering the ship again.
From gate six, he maps to settle near mid-field and boasting two wins at the track and as many wins when second-up, watch for improvement in this contest with an each-way ticket recommended.
Race 6: No.2 Shadow Lane
The Michael Mulholland-trained galloper has returned in top-shelf form and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Rebel Dane gelding was fresh after eight months in the paddock and wasted no time announcing he was back by taking out a Class 2 Hcp over 1300m at Narromine.
From gate 10 (of 12), he settled back in the field before Chad Lever steered him wide on the turn where he finished too strong for them in the end.
Fitter for that run, he draws barrier eight here and maps to settle near mid-field with stable rider Shayleigh Ingelse in the saddle for this assignment.
Already a winner at the track and trip, a trouble-free run here can see the six-year-old saluting again in this contest.
Race 8: No.4 Joy Of The World
The Angus Stewart-trained galloper is second-up here and looks in the mix to figure in the finish of this event.
Last start, the Street Boss mare resumed off a 14-week absence and finished mid-field in a Class 1 Hcp over 1100m at Bathurst.
From gate one, she pushed forward to settle second early before her condition gave out in the run home and she weakened out of it, beaten almost three lengths on the line with Donovan Dillon aboard.
Dillon sticks with her today and from barrier eight, maps to have the mare mid-field or better on settling.
The four-year-old is fitter for one run back, and with a clear run to the line, looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.
