The Gawler-based galloper is second-up here and looks well placed to break through in this event.

Last start, the King's Legacy mare resumed after six months off the scene and did well to finish third in a set weights Maiden over 1400m at Murray Bridge.

From barrier eight (of 11), Jackson Murphy pushed forward and settled her better than mid-field but was trapped three-deep to the turn where she crossed heels and ended up the widest runner on straightening, then spotting them six lengths, stormed home to grab the minor prize, beaten just two lengths on the line.

The step-up to the mile looks ideal for her here where she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling with Murphy in the saddle again.

Fitter for that hard first-up run, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 6: No.6 Reoffer

Sarah Rutten saddles-up Reoffer here who is fourth-up here and has the runs on the board to suggest she can bounce back and give this event a real shake.

Last start, the Pride of Dubai mare came off two solid runs when she put in a shocker by finishing down the track in a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at Murray Bridge.

With the tongue tie off, she drew the outside gate (11) where Margaret Collett settled her in the back half of the field where she was four and five wide to the turn, then on straightening and still the widest runner, ran home gamely but was never a winning chance with all the extra ground she had to cover.

Much better placed here, she draws gate six (of 12) and maps to settle better than mid-field with Connor Murtagh as the new pilot.

Dropping in grade, she faces BM0-56 company here where the stable have re-fitted the tongue tie and with a trouble-free run, the five-year-old gets her chance to make amends and take out this contest.

Race 9: No.11 Cicala

The Clarken and Sorby-trained galloper is four starts into this preparation and should now be ready to produce her best in this event.

Last start, the Tamasa mare wasn’t too far away when she finished fifth in the Listed Leon Macdonald Stakes over 1400m on the Parks circuit at Morphettville.

Drawn wide in gate 10 (of 14), Rochelle Milnes settled her back in the field where she was trapped wide to the turn, before being pratted even wider and in the run home, the mare was inches off the outside fence and ran home gamely, beaten 2.5 lengths in the end.

Drawn much better today in gate two, she maps to settle in the first half dozen with cover and has Melbourne rider Jamie Melham taking the reins for the first time.

Runner-up in the Group 3 Behemoth Stakes two starts back, the five-year-old looks set to swoop in this contest.
