Randwick racing takes place on Wednesday, July 29 with a 7-race program set down for the Randwick racetrack.

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for  Randwick racetrack.

Race 5: No.2  Interjection

The O’Shea & Charlton-trained galloper has been running himself into form and now looks ready to win.

Last start, the British-bred galloper found the podium for the first time this preparation when he finished third in a BM72 Hcp over 1400m at Warwick Farm.

Lumping 61kgs that day, he drew wide and settled back in the field before working into the race and after taking the turn via the cape, he stormed home to grab the minor money, beaten two lengths by the first two past the post, carrying less weight.

Meeting similar company here, the step-up to the 1550m looks ideal for him now and better drawn in gate three, he maps to settle near mid-field on the fence with Nash Rawiller as the new pilot.

At his peak after four runs back, a clear run home should be all ne needs here to figure in the finish of this contest.

Race 6: No.3  Century Song

Team Price saddle-up Century Song here who has found his mojo this time in and looks well placed to go on with it in this event.

Last start, the Microphone gelding was fourth-up and finding his best form, took out a BM64 Hcp over 1000m at Kembla Grange.

Tommy Berry settled him mid-field early before taking the turn as the widest runner, then lumping 62kgs, finished best to score by a length on the line.

That was win number four as he steps-up to BM72 company here and from gate three, maps to settle worse than mid-field with Berry steering the ship again.

At his peak and back in winning form, he looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 7: No.3  Engine Room

The Bryce Heys-trained galloper is second-up today and ticks the boxes here that suggest he will be hard to beat in this contest.

Last start, the Super Seth gelding resumed after seven months off the scene and in need of the run, finished unplaced in a BM72 over 1100m at Warwick Farm.

The four-year-old settled last of the nine runners and lacking race fitness, could only manage to beat a couple home that day.

Meeting similar company here, he steps-up to a more suitable 1300m trip and maps to settle mid-field from barrier eight with J.Mac in the saddle for the first time.

Both career wins have come on soft tracks so conditions here look ideal for him and already a winner when second-up, he should take beating in this contest.
