The Team Jolly-trained galloper is second-up here and looks well placed here to improve even more at odds in this event.
Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding resumed off a 19-week break and did well to finish third in a Class 2 Hcp, here over 1000m.
In the small field of six, he sat third, one off the fence and trailed the leaders into the straight, then ran home hard but was unable to bridge the gap, beaten less than a length on the line.
From barrier eight, he maps to settle in the first half dozen with regular rider Jake Toeroek back to take the reins for this assignment.
Meeting similar company here and fitter for that first-up run, he looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.
Race 6: No.7 Burning Bright
The Andrew Gluyas-trained galloper has been in good touch this time in and ticks enough boxes here to suggest he can play a major part in the outcome of this event.
Last start, the Fiorente mare took on harder company in the Onkaparinga Cup at Oakbank where she finished unplaced in the 2150m event.
Jason Holder settled her mid-field early before scouting wide and in the run home, just held her own, unable to improve further, finishing sixth in the 12-strong field.
Facing BM82 opposition here, she draws gate five and maps to settle better than mid-field with regular rider Taylor Johnstone back to steer the ship for this assignment.
A track & distance specialist, she drops in weight and already a two-time winner at the 1950m trip,
a forward showing is expected in this contest.
Race 8: No.2 Bouncing Beyond
Second-up here, the Andrew Gluyas-trained galloper should find this event a lot easier and looks a winning chance.
Last start, the Puissance de Lune gelding resumed after ten months off the scene and finished unplaced in a BM0-66 over 1050m at Oakbank.
Drawn the carpark in gate 14 (of 15), he was never on the track, settling back in the field before taking the turn even wider and did a mighty job to pass all but the first five over the line, beaten less than three lengths in the end.
Stepping-up to the 1250m looks ideal for him now where he draws much better in gate five and maps to settle a little closer to mid-field with Jason Holder steering the ship again.
Already a winner when second-up and fitter for that first-up effort, a clear run to the line here can see him in the finish of this contest.
