The Michael Morrison-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can claim his fourth career win in this event.
Last start, the Smart Missile gelding was fresh off a 20-week absence when he finished third in a Class 5 Hcp, here over 1350m with Georgina Cartwright in the saddle.
Meeting similar company here over the same trip, he draws nicely in gate four and with Tahlia Fenlon back to ride, maps to settle near the speed with cover.
Already a winner when second-up and a winner at the track as well, he holds a big weight advantage on these today and with an easy run, should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 7: No.6 Ninjitzou
Robert Heathcote saddles-up Ninjitzou here who is second-up and looks set for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Zousain gelding resumed after 18 weeks in the paddock where he destroyed his rivals in a 1200m Maiden Hcp at the Sunshine Coast.
Winona Costin settled him second in the race before taking over at the 250m mark and running away to score by almost three lengths on the line.
From gate six here, he maps to settle in the first half-dozen and has Costin in the saddle again.
A clear run to the line should see the four-year-old hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 8: No.7 Sweet Proposal
The Team Archibald-trained galloper is second-up here and looks a solid chance of taking out the major prize at odds in this event.
Last start, the Dundeel mare resumed after five months off the scene and did it in style when she clobbered a Class 4 field over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast.
With Damien Thornton aboard, he settled fourth, one off the fence, before taking over inside the final 200m and going on to score by two lengths over the line.
He steps-up to the mile trip here where he is already a two-time winner and with Thornton at helm again, looks one of the main chances in this contest.
