Steve Bennett picks out his blackbookers and horses to follow from Saturday racing at Rosehill on 21 March.

Race 4: Darby Munro Stks (1200m) – Caffe Florian

The Richard Litt-trained filly was second-up on Saturday and caught the eye with a big finish in this Listed affair.

Jason Collett had her settled last in the 14-strong field and still seeing them all on straightening, did a mighty job to thread her way through traffic and ending up with an inside run, flashed home to grab third prize in a tight finish.

Already boasting three wins from her six starts to date, she saluted when third-up last preparation and going on her performance on Saturday, the three-year-old should be kept safe this campaign.

Race 9: The Galaxy (Group. 1) (1100m) – Jedibeel

The Brad Widdup-trained gelding turned plenty of heads with an outstanding second-up performance on Saturday where he grabbed second prize in the big Group 1 event.

Drawn gate 11 (of 12), Tommy Berry settled him at the tail of the field and turning for home, he could still all of them before threading through traffic and in the final 100m, found another gear and hit the line in a blanket finish, grabbing the silver medal on the line.

Already a two-time winner when third-up, he looks well worth following this time in.

Race 10: Birthday Card Stakes (Group.3) (1200m) – Catch The Glory

Resuming off a 17-week spell on Saturday, the Jason Coyle-trained mare was again dominant on fresh legs when she arrived in time to claim the winner’s cheque for this event.

Ridden a treat by Adam Hyeronimus, he had the mare settled mid-field on the fence before peeling off heels and in the run home, threaded his way through weakening runners, arriving just in time to grab the gold medal on the line.

From five first-up appearances, that was his fourth win and has placed twice when second-up so it will pay keep an eye on this one.
