Ferano can win Race 4, ready to peak, well drawn.
Moulin Miss to win Race 6, last start winner, drawn the fence.
Ser Joh is the best of the day in Race 9, dual track winner, ideally drawn.

Doomben racing takes place on Saturday, August 22 with a 10-race program set down for the Doomben racetrack.
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Randwick racetrack.

Race 4: No.2 Fernao
Race 6: No.9 Moulin Miss
Race 9: No.6 Ser Joh

Race 4: No.2 Fernao

The Team Archibald-trained galloper has shown plenty of improvement lately and looks a serious contender for victory in this event.

Last start, the Frankel gelding made it back-to-back runner-up finishes when he beat all but one home in a strong BM90 Hcp, here over 2200m.

Settling mid-field early, he tracked the leaders into the straight and did well to finish second after spotting them too much start in the run home.

Down in grade today, he faces BM80 opposition and from gate three, maps to settle near mid-field with Ben Osmond as the new pilot.

At his peak now, he should ready to give his best effort here and with a trouble-free run, can figure in the finish of this contest.

Race 6: No.9 Moulin Miss

Tony Gollan saddles-up Moulin Miss here who is high-flying after four starts back and looks set to make a statement in this event.

Last start, the Spirit of Boom mare made it win number two for this campaign when she took out a BM78 over 1000m at Eagle Farm.

Sent out a white-hot ($1.85) favourite, she was trapped three-wide the entire trip and in the run home, had to pull out all stops to grab the win, getting there by a nose in the end.

Facing Class 6 company here, she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be leading them on settling with Emily Lang back for her second ride on the mare.

Unbeaten in two starts at the track and distance, and placed in a recent trial, she will take beating in this contest.

Race 9: No.6 Ser Joh

The Robert Heathcote-trained galloper is in good touch after two starts back and looks ready to go one better in this event.

Last start, the Capitalist gelding finished the bridesmaid again when he beat all but one home in a Class 6 Hcp over 1200m at Eagle Farm.

From the outside gate (10), Taylor Marshall pushed forward and had him leading by three lengths on settling and held that advantage to the turn, then in the run home did well to hold the front but the tempo he set took its toll as he weakened over the final 100m and conceding the winner 4.5kgs in weight, did well to hang for the silver medal in the race.

Fitter for those two runs back, he draws well in gate two and maps to settle near the speed with Marshall in the saddle again.

Already a winner when third-up and a two-time winner at the track, the six-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.
