Belmont racing takes place on Saturday, August 22 with an 8-race program set down for the Belmont racetrack.

The Luke Fernie-trained galloper is high-flying after two starts back and ticks all the boxes that suggest the hat-trick is a distinct possibility in this event.

Last start, the Exceedance mare went one better than her first-up effort when she took out a Rating 66 Hcp, here over 1000m.

With Holly Watson aboard, she settled back in the field to the turn, then came off heels and threaded her way through the field to find clean air and despite spotting them a big start, arrived in time to claim the gold medal in the race.

Meeting similar company here, she draws gate six and maps to be out the back again with Watson retaining the ride for this assignment.

A track specialist here and already a winner when third-up, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 3: No.5 Sisu Spirit

Brandon Fiore saddles-up Sisu Spirit here and with wife Lucy on board again, he looks ideally placed to claim his fourth career-win in this event.

Last start, the Trapeze Artist gelding came off a win at Bunbury when he beat all but one home in a Three-Year-Old & up Hcp over 1600m on the Scarpside circuit at Pinjarra.

From the outside gate (11), Fiore settled him at the tail of the field to the turn before tracking wide and after spotting the leaders seven lengths on straightening, stormed home to grab the silver medal, beaten just over a length on the line.

Stepping-up to the 2200m here, he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle mid-field from the good gate with Fiore in the saddle again.

At his peak here, the extra trip will suit and he should play a major role in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4: No.2 Cinque Stelle

The Steele Casey-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this preparation and lines-up here looking every chance of landing the hat-trick in this event.

Last start, the Toronado mare came off a big win at Bunbury and franked that effort by taking out a One Metro Win Hcp, here over 1400m.

On a Heavy 9 that day, regular rider William Pike settled her back in the field to the turn, then on straightening, she defied the track bias and took a rails run where he quickly grabbed the lead and went on to score by more than three lengths on the line.

Facing similar company here, she steps-up to the mile trip and from gate four, maps to do no early work as she settles near mid-field with Pike in pride of place again.

At her peak after three runs back and a track specialist here, the four-year-old looks the testing material for this contest.
