The opener went the way of Charcoals and it was Sunshineinmypocket that caught the eye with a fast finishing effort to fill the exacta. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper was resuming and was slow to begin before finding a spot in the second half of the field. He produced the fastest last 200m of the entire meeting to miss out in narrow fashion. A winner of five from nine career starts, we can expect the son of Proisir to be hard to beat in similar grade at her next couple of runs. 

The Valley was rocking with another sublime performance from Pride Of Jenni, who got the crowd going with another front running display to claim the Feehan Stakes for the second year in a row. She was strong to the line with the fastest last 200m to go 10.7 lengths faster than standard benchmark. Treasurethemoment was the only one from the field that could go with the winner and put four lengths on the likes of Attrition in what was a strongly run affair. The Matt Laurie-trained galloper was coming off a small setback via a bout of colic after her win the Memsie Stakes. Expect her to be much better for the run and well and truly on track for some of the major races to come up later on this spring. 

Lady Shenandoah missed out as a $2.35 favourite in the feature of the evening, which went the way of the $31 chance, Charm Stone, in what was a bit of a boilover. I wouldn't be giving up on Lady Shenandoah just yet. The Chris Waller mare drew awkwardly in barrier 10 and settled in the back half of the field in a race that was set up for those that settled handy with the tempo very slow in the first half of the race. Also worth noting that six of the eight winners on the night settled in the top three in the run. Lady Shenandoah was doing her best work late with the fastest last 200m. With a better draw and in a race with more early pressure, she can bounce back in her next couple of runs.
