Ballarat Racing Tips for July 2 – Elvis has entered Ballarat and is set to win

Tradeworx shapes as a solid each-way player in Race 5. The six-year-old has a strong record on the Synthetic tracks in Victoria and scored on the Turf for the first time a couple of starts ago when cruising home at Wodonga before placing 4th last time on the Ballarat Synthetic over the 2200m. He was posted wide no cover from a slong way out but stuck on well behind Jaz Tycoon. He drops 3kg from that and with a better time of it in transition, he can be right amongst it at the business end. 

He has been a bit of a bridesmaid with eight placings from his 10 starts but Electric Elvis does shape as the one to beat in Race 6. The Reece Goodwin-trained galloper resumed at Seymour three weeks ago and settled handy but couldnt quite reel in Ludlum. He will strip fitter at his second run back and was an improver on benchmark figures at this stage of his last preparation. He failed at his only go on the Synthetic but may not have been suited by the 1400m as his best for has been over the six furlongs. Look for the son of Time Test to slide across from the draw and give a kick in the straight.
