We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Sandown racetrack.
Race 3 No. 4- Sacred Rocks
Sacred Rocks can go close in Race 3. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper has had just the two career starts for a debut win at Pakenham over the 1400m on January 10 before sticking to that distance and finishing a half a length runner-up behind Our Queen at Sandown on January 29. She loomed up and looked the winner but was just out-kicked late, while she enjoyed a decent gap back to 3rd. That came in a BenchMark 70 and this does look slightly easier. Ethan Brown rides and can box seat from barrier 1.
Race 6 No. 1- Summer Flame
Keen on Summer Flame in Race 6. The Chris Waller-trained galloper has had just the two career starts for an impressive debut win at Mornington when leading all the way before rising to a BenchMark 64 at Sandown and again leading, just going down in the shadows behind Heaving. She went at a solid clip that day and gave a bit of a kick to go six lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any runner in this race has produced. She should be right at her peak at her third run and will again go forward with Damian Lane to ride. The daughter of Written Tycoon is the one they have to catch
Race 8 No. 3- Hola Amigos
Hola Amigos can end the day a winner. The consistent five-year-old has finished outside the top four just once in his career and has placed in his two runs this time in. The Cranbourne based galloper was luckless at Geelong when resuming before sticking on well behind Porter and Liberami at Sandown last time, going 5.5 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is the second best last start figure of any runner. He improved four lengths on figures when third up at his last preparation. The son of Toronado has options from barrier 5 and we can expect to see him fighting out the finish.
