Bendigo Racing Tips for August 26 – Elvis is in Bendigo and set to win again

Farside can be an improver in Race 4. The four-year-old has placed just once in five career starts, narrowly going down at Seymour at his debut preparation behind Sabertooth. He resumed at that track a few weeks ago and was posted wide no cover the trip before finishing 5th and pulling up with a slow recovery. The son of Farnan has been a big firmer in the early betting and trialled well prior to his Seymour run. He should enjoy a much better time of it this time around from barrier 2 and is worth thought at the each-way quote. 

Electric Elvis can continue his excellent run of form in Race 5. The consistent galloper has won two of his past three and has not finished outside the top four in his past 10 starts. He loves a Heavy surface and is a chance to get that again at Bendigo. Last time out, the Reece Goodwin-trained galloper strolled to a three-length win on a Heavy 9 here on August 12, while he was runner-up at Sandown on a Heavy prior to that. The five-year-old likes to lead and will have time to cross over untroubled from the wide barrier in a race that looks to have a lack of pressure towards his inside. Fit and firing, he will be partnered by Damian Lane, who rode him to the dominant win last time. The top jockey strikes at nearly 33% for the stable, providing a 99% profit on investment.
