Race 4: No.6 Solar Chant
The Ryan Hill-trained galloper is high-flying after three runs back and ticks the boxes here to suggest she can ring-up win number two in this event.
Last start, the Irish-sired filly made it three-straight top-two finishes when she beat all but one to the line in a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at Belmont.
From the outside gate (10), Chris Parnham pushed forward and had her leading on settling before turning for home where after setting a sizzling pace, tendered to hang-out under pressure and ran out of gas inside the final 100m, still boxing-on well to claim the silver medal in the race.
Meeting similar company here, she gets the gun-run from gate one today and will have little trouble settling on the speed here with Brad Parnham taking over from brother Chris in the saddle.
With the track experience now on her resume and at her peak here, the three-year-old should prove hard to beat in this contest.
Race 7: No.3 Reminiscence
Team Williams saddles-up Reminiscence here who has hit the ground running after a five-month lay-off and looks testing material in this event.
Last start, the Farnan colt resumed off a 21-week absence and made it look easy as he clobbered his rivals when breaking through for his first win in a 1200m Maiden at Belmont.
Getting all the favours that day, he drew gate one with William Pike in the saddle and was box-seating on settling to the turn, then coming off heels, he collided with another runner (on his outside) several times before securing clear passage then going on to score comfortably in the end, putting 2.5 lengths on them over the line.
Stepping-up to Class 1 company here, he draws well in gate six and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Clint Johnson-Porter as the new pilot.
Fitter for that first-up win, the extra 100m here should pose no problems for the three-year-old and with a trouble-free run, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 8: No.4 Corner Off
The Rob Gulberti-trained galloper is in good touch this time in and should now be ready to produce her best in this event.
Last start, the Toronado mare found the podium again when she finished third in a Class 3 Hcp over 1000m at Northam.
Clint Johnston-Porter had the reins that day and settled the mare last of the seven runners before tracking wide on the turn then coming off heels, finished strongly to grab the minor prize, beaten just a length on the line.
Drawn gate four here, she maps to settle mid-field or better with Lucy Fiore back for her second ride on the mare and at her peak here, she looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
