Wyong Racing Tips for June 25 - Spiv is weighted & gated to bounce back

Race 4: No.6 Spiv
The Joe Pride-trained galloper is in good touch this preparation and with his maiden win behind him now, he looks set to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the So You Think gelding came off that maiden win when he faced Class 1 company and finished down the track, here over the 1625m trip.
Chad Schofield settled him outside the leader after overracing early and despite being sent out a white-hot ($1.40) favourite, knocked-up in the run home, beaten three lengths on the line.
Putting that down to a bad day, he draws well in gate three today and maps to settle mid-field or better near the fence with Leeshelle Small aboard as the new pilot and after her claim, the gelding carries 3.5kgs less than last start.
Facing similar company here, he drops back to the 1350m trip which looks more suitable for him, having already won over 1400m previously.
Already a winner in rain affected going, he can bounce back here and claim victory in this contest.
Race 5: No.1 Hellova Nature
The Kristen Buchanan-trained galloper is high-flying at the moment and looks well placed here to break his Wyong duck and bring-up the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the Hellbent gelding came off a big win at Kembla Grange when he franked that effort by taking out a BM65 over 1200m at the Gold Coast.
Drawn gate 10 (of 12) and carrying 59.5kgs, Taylor Marshall settled him mid-field to the turn before scouting wide on the turn and in the run home, finished too strong for them, crossing the line a length clear with plenty to spare.
Nicely drawn in gate three today, he maps to settle mid-field or better with Shannen Llewellyn as the new pilot for this assignment.
The five-year-old is none from three at Wyong to date but in career-best form now, he gets his chance to crack it for a win here in this contest.
Race 7: No.6 Matchsticks
Gary Portelli saddles-up Matchsticks here who is two starts back from an 18-week break and should now be ready to produce her best in this event.
Last start, the Maurice filly did it tough when finishing down the track in a BM64, here over 1200m with Andrew Adkins aboard.
She was overracing soon after the start where she settled outside the leader, then in the run home, shortened stride and weakened out of it, finishing seven lengths off the winner.
A Vet’s report stated she was lame in the off hindleg after the race.
The filly steps-up to the mile trip for the first time and from the outside gate (12), will need a little luck at barrier rise where she maps to push forward and settle better than mid-field with Adkins steering the ship again.
Third-up today, the three-year-old just needs a trouble-free run here to be there at the finish of this contest.
