Race 2: No.4 Mind Ya Bizz
The Brad Widdup-trained galloper is high-flying after three starts back and looks ideally placed here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Heroic Valour filly came off her maiden win at Gosford when she finished third in a Class 1 over the longer 1400m trip at Hawkesbury.
Tyler Schiller settled her back in the field before working into the race on the turn, then in the run home, a runner broke down and caused severe interference to several gallopers including Mind Ya Bizz which cost her any chance of winning, still finishing off strongly to grab the minor prize in the race.
The three-year-old has a solid chance to atone for that last-start mishap where she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle just behind the speed with Chad Schofield as the new pilot.
Six starts on wet tracks have resulted in five podium finishes and at her peak today, she looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 6: No.7 Totoka
Paul Perry saddles-up Totoka here who has found her mojo recently and ticks enough boxes here to suggest she can figure in the finish of this contest.
Last start, the Brutal mare came off a big win in a BM64 on this track when she returned here and met similar company and beat all but one of them home over 1200m on a Soft 7 that day.
She drew the carpark in gate 11 (of 12) and settled near the tail of the field before creeping into the race on the turn, then tracking wide, she came off heels and once clear, hit the line strongly to claim second prize in the event.
Drawn well in gate five, she maps to settle in the back-half of the field with Lee Magorrian sticking with her for this assignment.
Yet to miss the podium here in three previous starts, the four-year-old is currently at her best and should be there at the finish of this contest.
Race 8: No.1 Dubai Warrior
The Matt Smith-trained galloper is third-up today and looks ready to turn minor placings into victory in the last of the day.
Last start, the Pride of Dubai gelding finished third in a BM64 Hcp over 1600m at Hawkesbury.
With Siena Grima aboard for the first time, he settled mid-field early before working into the race on the turn, then in the run home, raced very erratically before finishing off to grab the minor prize in the race.
The stable have responded to her last effort by fitting blinkers for the first time and from barrier eight, he maps to cross and settle near mid-field with Grima in the saddle again.
Meeting similar company again over the mile trip, he is already a three-time winner on soft tracks and should take beating in this contest.
