Race 5: No.8 Pocketing
The Team Freedman-trained galloper third-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest he is a sneaky chance at odds to win this event.
Last start, the Grunt gelding was second-up and not disgraced when finishing mid-field in the Group 3 Bill Ritchie Hcp, here over 1400m.
Settling back in the field, he spotted them too much start and did well to make up ground and finish sixth, beaten less than three lengths over the line with Tyler Schiller aboard.
Dropping down in grade here, he faces BM94 company and steps-up to the mile trip which looks ideal for him at this stage of his preparation.
He draws well in gate six and maps to settle better than mid-field with Schiller on board again.
Already a track and distance winner, a trouble-free run can see him figure here and he looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 7: No.2 Briasa
Team Hawkes saddle-up the smart Briasa here who is second-up and looks the testing material in this event.
Last start, the Smart Missile gelding resumed after more than five months off the scene and did well to beat all but Joliestar home in the Group 2 Shorts, here over 1100m.
With regular rider Tyler Schiller in the saddle, he settled just behind the speed, one off the fence, and chased all the way home to finish just over a length from the winner in the end.
All the boxes are ticked for this challenge where he draws ideally in gate two and steps-up to the 1200m where he has five wins already on his resume.
Schiller steers the ship again and with a clear run to the line, he should prove very hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 9: No.9 Soul Of Spain
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is unbeaten after three starts this time in and looks set to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Irish-sired gelding brought-up the hat-trick when he claimed victory in the Group 3 Newcastle Gold Cup over 2300m with Zac Lloyd aboard for the first time.
Box-seating to the turn, he came off heels and after taking over inside the final 200m, he went on to score with some to spare over the line.
Drawn out in gate 11 (of 18) here, he maps to cross and settle better than mid-field with cover and has Lloyd sticking with him for this assignment.
Winning form is good form and at his peak after three runs this campaign, he looks set to score again in this contest.
