Race 4: No.1 Hello Captain
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is unbeaten this time in and looks ideally placed for the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the French-sired gelding made it back-to-back wins when he clobbered his rivals in a BM64 over 1250m at Canterbury.
Nash Rawiller had him mid-field early before easing him off heels on the turn, then taking over soon after he went on to score by two lengths while carrying 62kgs.
Stepping-up to BM72 grade here, he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling with Rawiller in the saddle again.
The three-year-old looks a real promising type and ticks all the boxes here that suggest he will take a ton of beating in this contest.
Race 6: No.9 Tazima
Chris Waller saddles-up Tazima here who is high-flying this preparation and looks well placed to carry-on with the good form in this event.
Last start, the Irish-sired gelding found the winning post again when he took out a BM88, here over 2000m.
In the blinding rain, he jumped from gate 11 (of 12), where Siena Grima settled him second-last in the field and sticking to the fence secured a dream rails-run, then in the run home, did best to claim victory in a tight finish.
Meeting similar company here, he draws better in gate seven where he maps to settle near mid-field with cover.
Now a winner at the track, Grima sticks with him and a trouble-free run here should see him there at the finish in this contest.
Race 9: No.12 Midnight Dynamite
The Bjorn Baker-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this campaign with a resume that suggests he can claim another victory in this event.
Last start, the Pierata gelding was shooting for the hat-trick when he beat all but one home in a BM94, here over 1300m.
From the outside gate (14), Josh Parr pushed him forward to be sitting fourth on settling before coming off heels on the turn, then in the run home, chased hard all the way but was beaten by one better on the day, settling for second prize in the race.
Taking on Listed company here, he maps to settle better than mid-field from barrier eight with Jason Collett as the new pilot for this assignment and already a two-time at Randwick, looks a major contender in this contest.
