We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Morphettville racetrack.

Race 2: No.3 Aitu

The Reece Goodwin-trained galloper is three starts into this preparation and down in grade here, looks set to bounce back in this event.

Last start, the Tagaloa gelding was third-up and was unable to match it with them when he finished unplaced in the Listed TAB Trophy over 1800m at Flemington.

It was a huge step-up in class, coming off a Maiden win at Pakenham, and the rise to 1800m proved too tough as well as he weakened in the run home, beaten five lengths on the line.

Dropping sharply in grade here, he takes on Class 2 company over the shorter 1550m trip with Todd Pannell at the helm for this assignment.

Ideally drawn in gate four, he does little early work as he maps to settle near mid-field and down in weight as well, he looks a serious contender for the major prize in this contest.

Race 6: No.3 Guru Warrior

The Andrew Gluyas-trained galloper is in career-best form of late and looks the one to beat again in this event.

Last start, the Saxon Warrior gelding brought up the hat-trick when he clobbered his rivals in a BM76 over 2028m, here on the main track.

Jason Holder settled him outside the leader before getting the better of him and going on to score by almost three lengths on the line.

Meeting similar company here, he has 3kgs more to carry with Holder remaining aboard.

Ideally drawn in gate three, he maps to settle right behind the speed and going on his recent efforts, he looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 7: No.5 Ginger Sinner

The Paula Trenwith-trained galloper is third-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can get the job done in this event.

Last start, the Castelvecchio gelding showed enough improvement to beat all but one home in a BM64 over 1100m at Murray Bridge.

Caitlin Tootell was aboard for her fourth ride on the gelding where she settled him mid-field before running home strongly to finish within a length of victory that day.

From gate seven, he maps to settle near mid-field and has Tootell in the saddle for this assignment.

Already a winner on the Parks track (three starts back), fitter for two runs in, he looks the one to beat in this contest.
