Morphettville racing takes place on Saturday, June 28 with a 9-race program set down for Morphettville racetrack.

Race 2: No.2 The Sprinkler
Race 7: No.9 Metrical

Race 2: No.2 The Sprinkler

The Team Jolly-trained galloper is high-flying after four starts and looks set to go on with his good form in this event.

Last start, the Smart Missile gelding landed his second career win when he came from well back to score a last-stride victory over 1200m at Murray Bridge.

Trapped wide most of the way, he still had too many guns for the 11-strong field with Lachlan Neindorf in the saddle.

Drawn out in gate nine here, he maps to settle mid-field with new pilot Jake Toeroek steering the ship.

In winning form and at his peak here, the three-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 7: No.9 Metrical

The Bain & Taylor team saddle-up Metrical here who is in top-shelf form after two starts back and looks set to continue his good work to date in this event.

Last start, the Time Test gelding came off a first-up win when he beat all but one home, here over 1200m with Matthew Chadwick on board.

Never on the track, he travelled all the way but still finished strongly to grab the silver medal in the race.

He gets the gun-run from gate one here and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Jason Holder back for his sixth ride on the five-year-old.

Fitter for two runs back, he looks a winning chance again and is well worth an each-way ticket at the juicy odds, currently on offer.

Race 8: No.4 Tahnee Treasure

The Peter Hardacre-trained galloper is back to near her best now and should be ready to produce in this contest.

Last start, the Merchant Navy mare did well to beat all but one home in a BM76, here over 1550m with Rochelle Milnes in the saddle.

Trapped wide most of the way, she put in a strong finishing effort which was good enough to take home the silver medal behind one better on the day.

The five-year-old meets similar company here over the same trip with Milnes at the helm again and from gate six, maps to settle a little closer to the fence.

Enjoying better race conditions here and a clear run to the line, after four runs back, she should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
