Race 2: No.5 Mystic Wonder

The locally-trained galloper has been mixing her form this time in but with solid track form here, looks a big chance for back-to-back wins in this event.

Last start, the Stratosphere mare came off an unplaced effort at Flemington when she returned to Adelaide and did it in style by taking out a BM76 Hcp, here over 1550m with Jason Holder aboard.

Settling fourth early, the mare came off heels on the turn, then in the run home, had their measure and after taking over inside the final 200m, went on to score a comfortable win.

Meeting similar company here, she draws barrier eight and maps to cross and settle in the first half-dozen with Holder in the saddle again.

On home soil again, a clear run to the line can see her saluting in this contest.

Race 3: No.3 Savour The Dream

The Bevan Laming-trained galloper is three starts into this campaign and now back to his best, looks a real winning chance in this event.

Last start, the Super Seth gelding was third-up and hit top gear when he destroyed his opposition when taking out a BM74 over 2000m at Mornington.

On a Heavy 8 that day, he settled last in the 11-strong field before working into the race nearing the turn, then in the run home, showed a solid turn-of-foot and inside the final 200m, took the lead and raced away to score by three lengths on the line.

Seeing this track for the first time, her draws well in gate four and maps to settle back in the field with Campbell Rawiller in the saddle for this assignment.

Fourth-up and at his peak, the four-year-old brings strong winning form with him here and looks a serious threat in this contest.

Race 4: No.1 Sir Now

Darryl Hewitt saddles-up Sir Now here who is in top-shelf form this preparation and ticks enough boxes to suggest he will take beating in this event.

Last start, the Sir Prancealot gelding came off a win in BM78 company and franked that effort when he beat home his rivals in a BM84 over 1000m at Murray Bridge.

Settling second early, he took over inside the last 400m and gave nothing else a chance, going on to score by 2.5 lengths on the line carrying 60kgs in the race.

Alysha Warren remains aboard and from barrier eight, he maps to push forward and settle in the first half-dozen.

Fourth-up and at his peak here, the four-year-old is a proven track specialist, boasting four wins and three runner-up finishes from his seven starts here and with a trouble-free run here, he looks the testing material again in this contest.
