Race 2: No.16 Zoufani
Tony Gollan saddles-up Zoufani here who is in sensational form of late and looks ideally placed here to bring up the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the Zousain mare made it six-straight visits to the podium when she took out a Class 3 Hcp over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast.
Sent out a white-hot ($1.80) favourite, she gave punters no cause of alarm as she led from barrier to box with Leah Martyn in the saddle.
Nicely drawn in gate five here, she maps to settle on the speed again with Cejay Graham back to ride, having enjoyed success with the mare previously.
The four four-year-old has shown a liking for this track, boasting a win and three minor placings from her four starts here and with a trouble-free run, she looks right in the mix for another victory in this contest.
Race 6: No.3 Faulkner Park
The Declan Maher-trained galloper is third-up here and should be ready to produce his best in this event.
Last start, the Zoffany gelding was second-up and finished down the track when unsuited by the conditions in The Wayne Wilson, here over 1600m.
The Heavy 9 surface was against him where Declan Bates settled him back in the field and the mile trip proved too short in the end.
Stepping-up to the 2400m here where he has already enjoyed success, he draws well in gate four and maps to do no work early as he settles back in the run with Tommy Berry as the new pilot.
With an improving Soft 5 track being forecast, he will appreciate the firmer going and already a three-time winner when third-up, he measures up here as a big winning chance at odds in this contest.
Race 7: No.2 Sun God
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is high-flying after two starts back and looks poised to claim his seventh career victory in this event.
Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding came off a first-up win in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes at Scone when he came north of the border and beat all but one home in the Spear Chief Hcp, here over 1500m.
Tommy Berry settled him back in the field before pushing forward on the turn, then in the run home, collared all in front of him and looked the winner but was out-bobbed by War Eternal on the line, leaving him with the silver medal in the race.
The pair clash again here with Sun God lining-up better drawn and better at the weights with Nash Rawiller aboard for the first time.
He gets the gun-run from gate one here and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover and already a winner when third-up, he looks ideally placed to turn the tables and bounce back to claim the major prize in this contest.
