Kilmore Racing Tips for October 30 – All Eyes On Erin at Kilmore
- Enticement (Race 1) is tipped to win after posting the best last-start benchmark figures.
- All Eyes On Erin (Race 3) offers each-way appeal with strong sectionals and race experience.
- Share The Stars (Race 8) is expected to be competitive, showing consistent form and improvement.
Kilmore racing takes place on Friday, October 30, with a competitive country meeting set down for the Victorian venue.
Here are our best bets from Kilmore, which comes before the evening meeting at Pakenhem.
Race 1 No.10 – Enticement
Enticement looks poised to break through in the opener at Kilmore. The Matt Laurie-trained filly has had just the one career start, finishing fifth over the 1500m at Ballarat earlier this month. She settled back in the field and took some time to wind up but closed off nicely behind Millie's Award in a race that has already produced two subsequent winners. The daughter of Dundeel will strip fitter for the experience and comes in with the best last-start benchmark figures of any runner in this field. She looks to have more upside than several of her rivals and should be suited by what appears to be a relatively weak maiden.
Race 3 No.7 – All Eyes On Erin
All Eyes On Erin looks a strong chance in Race 3 at Kilmore. The maiden over the 1112m features a few unknowns, including some first starters that have trialled well, but the daughter of Tagaloa has the benefit of race experience and looks worth considering at an each-way quote. She resumed over the 1000m at Ballarat recently and settled at the rear in a slowly run race before producing the fastest sectionals from the 500m to the 200m. The lack of tempo counted against her, with the winner enjoying a more favourable run in transit. She also drew wide on debut back in June, but the way she closed off last time suggests she has a bright future. The slight rise in distance should suit and, if she can settle a little closer, she can go very close.
Race 8 No.8 – Share The Stars
Share The Stars looks a strong chance in the final race at Kilmore. The five-year-old has been consistent throughout her career, finishing outside the top five just once in 11 starts, with one win and a further five placings. She has had three runs this preparation and narrowly missed out at Warrnambool over the 1700m last time, working forward to settle handy before being run down late by Cute Girl. She improved with racing during her previous campaign before breaking through for her maiden win at Werribee, and there should be further improvement to come. Declan Bates takes the ride and should be able to position her handy to the speed from barrier 6. This looks a relatively weak race and she should be right in the finish.
